Confidence is Key! It has been said time and time again that you do not have to be the best looking or best dressed because confidence allows you to knock it out the park no matter what you look like. If you look great but carry yourself ugly then that is exactly how the world will treat you. We aren’t going to go on this long tangent about why confidence is important because we know you know but, instead give you some tips to help you boost that confidence babe!
Here are 3 steps to get you going. Let’s get into it shall we.
Step 1: Decide right now that you are WORTHY of having confidence.
It’s definitely a mental thing. If you don’t think you should have it, you won’t. That whole saying “you have to believe it to achieve it,” may be a cliché but that doesn’t make it any less true. As human beings, negative thoughts are just a part of our psychology and because that is so, “the best defense is a good offense.” We are trying to get ahead and maintain control of our thoughts. Somewhere along the way we allowed others and even our own impressions of the world convince us that we are just not worthy. We have created an exercise that will help you get those thoughts underway. The idea is to learn a new technique to not get rid of negative thoughts but learn to counteract them. Step 2: Visualization rules the Nation!
Once again, visualization can be seen as a cliché but hey it works! Athletes, actors even Oprah all have spoken about mentally preparing to do their jobs by visualizing that win or getting out on stage and rocking it. You can take this technique and use it in your everyday life too. Imagine you walking into “the” event, the one you have been waiting for, and then imagine that you are not even nervous. You feel no negative emotions. No butterflies, no low self esteem, just complete and utter acceptance of self. You walk in and you love how you look, how you speak, how you think, and how you converse. Imagine you carrying yourself exactly how you have always desired. Go ahead and give it a shot. Steps 3: Get into Action!
Confidence is tied directly to your self esteem, and how is self-esteem built? Action. Through actively creating a space to be the woman you want to be. It is working on your style so that you can look how you want to look, improving your communication so that you speak the way you want to speak, and figuring out your aspirations so that you can establish yourself and purpose in this world. So if there is something you want to fix, fix it, If there is something you want to change then change it. Start making moves to become the woman you want to become and through doing so it will build up your confidence. You will love the person you are therefore making it incredibly easy to be confident about who you are.
